Congressman Tom Allen recently emailed his list to promote what he believes is an insufficient and flawed Federal Budget. He struck out against the Bush Administration and in particular the Energy Policy that is certainly a step backwards for the nation. I am sure you fully aware of its faults but here is an excerpt from his email:

the President is slashing funds for energy efficiency and renewable energy programs, by a total of 27 percent, he proposes to increase subsidies to the nuclear power industry by 76 percent and subsidies to the coal industry by 41 percent. The President’s priorities for energy policy are clearly out of line…

BTW – Tom Allen is running for the US Senate.
