Hope Spinnery Barn

A few weekends ago Sally and I brought the last couple bags of fleeces we had put aside to get processed at Hope Spinnery. As you can see below the Hope Spinnery is a wind powered spinnery that has some great refurbished industrial equipment that came out of mills in Rhode Island, possibly Royal Mills.

The Hope Spinnery is about 40 miles south of Blue Hill in Hope Maine. It is a great luxury to have a processing facility so close to Tamworth Farm, they do an awesome job and it is a trip Sally and I look forward to each year. Visit their web site to buy some of Maine’s best yarn.
