PICNIC Music + Art Festival in Portland- Vendor Application Due Friday

On September 13th at Lincoln Park, over 70 vendors (maybe including you?) will set up their wares at the PICNIC Music and Arts Festival. There will also be live music from some of the best indie acts in Portland, including Metal Feathers, Cougars Kill Cobras, Dead End Armory, Huak and more!

There I noticed a fun temporary public art project- Sculptcycle 2008. The unique art partnership has brought the work of more than 20 Vermont Artists to the streets of the state capital. Winslow Park Public Art: First Phase completed!

Cloud Couch installed on Baxter BoulevardYesterday Bitsy (our new intern for Port City Studios) and I went over to watch Vivian Beer finish up the installation of her two public art pieces at Winslow Park. As co-chair of the Winslow Park Selection Committee with Jay York, I was part of the group that selected Vivian’s work for this location. It was a fun process, and it is particularly exciting to see the pieces in place.
